We collect or use the following personal information for the operation of client accounts and to comply with legal requirements; names and contact details, Unique Tax Reference number, National Insurance number, bank account details and other details which may be required in order to deliver the required service and comply with legal obligations.

Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information for the operation of client or customer accounts and for the prevention, detection, investigation or prosecution of crimes are:
Consent - we have permission from you after we gave you all the relevant information. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw you consent at any time.
Legal obligation - we have to collect or use your information so we can comply with the law. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right of erasure, the right to object and the right to data portability.
Public task - we have to collect or use your information to carry out a task laid down in law, which the law intends to be performed by an organisation such as ours. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to erasure and the right to portability.

How long we keep information:
We are required by legislation, other regulatory requirements and our insurers to retain you data where we have cease to act. The period of retention required varies with the applicable legislation but is typically five or six years. To ensure compliance with all such requirements it is the policy of the firm to retain all data for a period of at least seven years from the end of the period concerned.
